JAMES HANLEY

Senior Physiotherapist

James has a passion for managing all sporting injuries, particularly those associated with Australian Rules football, soccer and running. James has a  clinical interest in the rehabilitation of running related hamstring injuries and shoulder dislocations.

Since graduating from his Masters of Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University in 2018 James has worked with both the sporting and general populations across the lifespan. He has completed post graduate training in areas ranging from Strength & Conditioning, to the management of Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis. This gives James a wealth of experience which he uses every day in his practice.

James’ approach to rehabilitation is evidence based – he uses a combination of manual therapy, load management and education to return the the patient to early movement post injury. He then likes to implement exercise rehabiliation (gym and field based) that will have the patient returning to high performance in their sport or activity.

James is a former footy player himself, but since ‘retiring’ last year he has moved onto running and playing golf. James is still deeply invested in the AFL and goes to watch his Doggies at every opportunity.
James has also recently become a local and is loving what the Frankston/Bayside area has to offer!
