We’re excited to launch a new evidence-based strength program at PhysiPro Athletic in Seaford – designed specifically for Women; perimenopausal, menopausal, or managing low bone density.

This program is grounded in the world-leading LIFTMOR and MEDEX-OP research trials, which showed that high-resistance, low-volume strength training performed twice per week led to significant improvements in:

  • Multisite bone mineral density
  • Strength & muscle mass
  • Balance and falls confidence
  • Jumping/running capacity
  • Functional independence

We’ve adapted this evidence into a safe, physio-supervised, empowering program so women can build stronger bones and move confidently through midlife.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Personalised 1:1 Physiotherapy Assessment (usually 2 sessions)

We begin with one-on-one sessions to truly understand you, your body, your goals, and your starting point.

We take the time to:

  • Understand your health, lifestyle, and any concerns
  • Assess your strength and balance
  • Guide you through key movements so you feel comfortable and capable
  • Set a small number of meaningful goals to work towards

This is the first step in helping you feel safe, supported, and in control before entering a group environment.

This program is grounded in high-quality, up-to-date research.

But more importantly, we believe you deserve to understand what’s happening in your body.

You’ll be given access to simple, easy-to-follow education that covers:

  • What’s changing during peri/menopause
  • Why strength training is so powerful for your bones and overall health
  • How to support your body through nutrition and recovery

By sharing this knowledge, we aim to help you feel more informed, more confident, and more in control of your health.
