Physiotherapist

Sam has a passion for physiotherapy and a special interest in sports-related injuries, which stems from his background playing and competing on the football field, cricket pitch and swimming pool from a young age.

Sam completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne after graduating from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science majoring in Exercise Physiology.

Sam’s areas of clinical interest include cricket and football-related injuries specifically lower limb muscle strains groin pain tendon-related injuries ankle injuries postoperative rehabilitation and bone stress-related injuries.

In addition to practicing at PhysiPro, Sam has hands-on experience providing rehabilitation to elite junior athletes through his roles with the Dandenong Stingrays Football Club (NAB League) and involvement with the St Kilda Football Club’s Next Generation Academy. Additionally Sam holds roles as the head physiotherapist with the Bonbeach Sharks Football Club (MPNFL- Division 1) and the Dandenong Cricket Club (Victorian Premier Cricket).

Sam implements a holistic-based approach to rehabilitation utilizing a combination of hands-on therapy exercise-based rehabilitation load-based management and education to empower and assist his patients and athletes in optimizing their performance and achieving their rehabilitation goals.

During his spare time you may find Sam working on his golf game or cheering on his beloved Bombers.
