JESS ANWYL
Senior Physiotherapist
Jess is a Senior Sports Physiotherapist with a specialist interest area in running. She is a keen runner herself and has experience in treating and managing running related injuries. In particular, overuse, overload and biomechanical injuries of the lower limb. Specifically, tendinopathy, stress reaction and patellofemoral pain. Jess performs running analysis and can assist in developing a tailored running program to suit your needs. Jess is also trained in dry needling and deep tissue massage, which she uses regularly to achieve desired joint and muscle mobility and recovery.
Jess is a keen sports woman, having played in the VNL and VFL programs for a number of years. Jess played VNL for Peninsula Waves and VFL for Essendon and North Melbourne before going on maternity leave.
Jess worked as a physio for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and has worked with the Northern Territory National Netball Team as well as local football/netball teams, most recently for Chelsea Football/Netball Club. Jess is an active member of the community playing A grade Netball for Chelsea this 2022 season.
Jess is an experienced clinical pilates instructor, utilising this as part of her rehabilitation process in managing injuries.
Jess is a proud mum to two-year-old daughter Pia. She enjoys helping manage pregnancy-related issues as well as post-natal recovery.
